    The skin of shrimp and crayfish is made up of chitin. Since the skin on these animals does not grow as they grow, they moult on a regular basis. In order to make new skin, shrimp eat chitin from their old, discarded skin, or cellulose from plant-based materials. HS aqua Crusta Chitin+ is a product made from natural shrimp skin, and helps these animals make new skin. Add a small amount of HS aqua Crusta Chitin+ to the aquarium 3 times a week.
